Form + Carve Vase, 12/24 — White_01

A special one-off piece in a black stoneware clay using hand building techniques. Once the form is built the surface is then meticulously carved to create a repetitive pattern.

A slip is then applied and partially removed to allow the pattern to come through. The vase is then put through numerous firings to achieve the final finish 

The outside is left unglazed, while the inside is glazed in matt black. 

Size: 120w x 120h mm

Due to the nature of clay I always advise placing a coaster below your vase if placing on a surface that can be damaged by moisture.
